Summoner Showcase #78 - Minions…Delicious Minions

This week’s Summoner Showcase highlights the delicate, the delectable and the downright dazzling. As always, your fellow summoners have found new and creative ways to show us their League of Legends love!
Scroll down to see this week’s entries in more detail.

Gogaros delivers a very grumpy looking rendition of Annie, the Dark Child, imagined here as a carefully sculpted figurine.

Trust49 sheds a little light on a gorgeous glass reproduction of the League of Legends logo.

Sejuani doesn’t exactly scream “cute,” especially in her sabretusk skin. 7 4 begs to differ, however, and gives us an adorable Chibi image to prove it.

Every summoner has devoured their share of minions on the field, but few look as tasty as the cakeFifidapro and SZGYF have baked up!

Every champion should have a cool theme song to guide them into battle – even the trolls. Thanks toBlockheart, Trundle now has a toe-tapping new piano tune to call his own.

We close this week with a bit of very scary statuary thanks to this excellent illustration from Seung Jin.
That’s it for this week, summoners, but we’ll be back next week with all-new fan creations. Send us your submissions to Summoner_Showcase@RiotGames.com And make sure you include your summoner name so we can credit you!
Until next week!

The IPL 5 Open Regional Qualifiers

Summoners!

The IGN Pro League will be holding eight regional online qualifiers (four in North America and four in Europe) in the next few months to decide which teams earn the honor of playing at IPL 5. The winning team from each qualifier receives an automatic invite, as well as a $1,000 prize. The rest of the teams can enter subsequent qualifiers in hopes of earning a spot.

Four qualifiers will take place in each region, each following a best-of-three format. Each qualifier uses a 32-team bracket, though only one can advance to IPL 5, so expect the competition to be ferocious! Once a winner is declared for all of the qualifiers, the winning teams will participate in a round-robin tournament to determine seeding.

Teams can sign up now on IPL’s home site; sign-ups run until a few days before each qualifier and there is no limit to the number of qualifiers each team can sign up for (though they can only sign up for qualifiers in their region):
Qualifier 2 Signups: May 8-May 24
Qualifier 3 Signups: May 29-June 14
Qualifier 4 Signups: June 19-July 5
Matches begin this Tuesday, May 8, and follow the schedule below:
Qualifier 1: May 8-26
Qualifier 2: May 29-June 16
Qualifier 3: June 19-July 7
Qualifier 4: July 10-July 28
Broadcasts take place from Tuesdays through Fridays. European matches begin at 11:00 am Pacific Time, 20:00 CEST. North American matches start at 5:00 pm Pacific Time, 04:00 CEST. Tournament schedules may change, so check back regularly.

Naturally, we don’t want the League community to miss out on all of this exciting action. You can find details on the tournament at IPL’s home page, and follow the action via live stream atTwitch TV. VODs will appear on YouTube in case you can’t view the action live. Don’t miss a minute of it as we determine who has the skills to go to IPL 5!
